It seems there is some general agreement among classical and also among flamenco gutarists about what the standard distance of the strings from the
top at the bridge would be; and also what the action (distance between the 12th fret and the bottom 'edge' of the string) would be.
Usually this is given for the e-1 and e-6 strings and everything in between is somewhere in between.
I wonder if there are similar standards or at least common numbers for the oud:
what is the typical distance to the under the first and sixth course at the bridge and to the fretboard, lets say, at the joint of the neck with the
body?
It'd be great to have some reference here...

OK, so for a starter I go first:
At the Body-Neck joint of my 7 course oud:
- c1 2,5mm
- C6 2,6mm
- G7
Under the strings at the bridge 6mm throughout...
I would consider this a low action; I'm also playing relatively low tension tuned to a 415 Hz ...
