I just came across an archive of Algerian classical music on an official government web site: http://www.patrimoineculturelalgerien.com/index.php
There are sound files, lyrics, and scores. Use the pull-down menu for music (with the 1/8 note and Music of Algeria in Arabic and French), and click
the first link (Classical Music in Arabic and French).
Not exactly my cup of chai, but interesting stuff, nonetheless.
