Hello
around my practices i came across a shahnaz longa from Vanis Vartanian, I guess syrian/armenian composer.
Do you have any knowledge about him and his works to share ?

Vartanian was born in Aleppo in 1920. He became known as a virtuoso on the violin, and in the early 1950s he joined the Aleppo broadcasting service as
a performer and composer. He also performed regularly in a popular local coffeehouse. In the 1960s he moved to Lebanon, where he joined the
broadcasting service and also performed in theatrical plays. He died in 1977.
His best known compositions are the longas in shahnaz and hijazkar, and sama'is in maqams bayyati, 'ajam, hijazkar, and kurd. The archive of the
Aleppo broadcasting service has among its holdings other pieces that he composed and performed.
