Dear fellow oudis!

Many of you know this already, but I am shutting down OudStrings.com. I want to thank all of you for your support over the years.

As I clear out my remaining inventory, I am heavily discounting all strings and other products (tuners, humidifiers, manuscript paper, books, picks, etc.).

Brian, I was sad to receive your email announcing the closure of your oud string business.
It was not just a commercial enterprise, but a very valuable consultancy service you provided without payment for so many.

And thanks to everyone who messaged my with similar sentiments. I'm glad to have been able to help so many fellow oud players find the right strings. But sometimes it's just time to move on—my primary work has always been performing and teaching, and I'm looking forward to being able to focus more exclusively on that; I think that I can actually be more useful in that regard.

Just an update for everyone — thank you for all the kind messages of appreciation and support, and thank you to everyone who placed orders for the past month.

I'm shutting down the store for good this Thursday, July 30. Thank you for all your support over the years.

I did transcribe the whole album and am planning to make the collection available soon—I just need to go through and check on mistakes, clean up the readability.
