old style egyptian oud / actual makers

Hi there

made a while on the forum.

I need input about makers. I came across an old style egyptian oud, very oblong shape, though not much depth for the bowl.
To my view this is a super nice specification. It bring the deepness one can await for a sharqi oud, with an excellent volume of the bowl, but still confortable to play with its short depth. With a well made soundboard, can be perfect
but ..but...it is too old, the neck is not 1/3 of the stringlength. It is previous made regarding this standard. So not my favorite playability.

Do you have any recommendation of luthiers who made oud in this kind of tradition , which seems a bit lost ?

Looking forward to read if you have any inputs on this

Al Leythi comes to mind. Check out the well-known photo of Qassabji playing his single sound hole Al Leythi oud.

Yes exactly, the kind of shape of the Rahmine Barda oud for which i shared its retauration.

Super nice to play but the settle of the neck regarding the stringlength make it for me as a very sporadic instrument.

So i ment, do you know actual makers who usually work on this shape nowadays, for a new oud ?
