Hello Gabriel,

http://brianprunka.com/oud/music.htm

Ibnil Balad is in maqam Saba, a very cool piece. Aziza is in maqam kurd, also very awesome. I hope that'll get you started. Many thanks for Brian Prunka for this.

A very nice online archive is coming soon from Issa Boulos in Chicago. Be patient, I'm sure he'll be announcing it here soon.

Mav, I am glad to hear there is already a buzz going on about the archive. Till then, there are some nice scores available here http://www.arabclassicalmusic.com/res_shmusic.html

You can buy some if you like from:

http://www.angelfire.com/ca4/palestine/music.html

I'm not sure how reliable the source is, as I only found it through google today, and have never heard of this reference, but it could be worth a shot.

Also, you can buy some from here as well:

There are free Turkish ones that I've come across, which I'm sure you can make sound Arabic simply by your style of playing.
