hi i have a question to alli hope you guys can help
i have oud by ahmed abdul halim and i need a neqw bone nut but i tryed making one but failed anyway
what i did was i took a match stich and put in at the top throgh the string so i can lay on it and it works great now but the acution is still abit
so hit i am used to it already but does it make a differ like if the action was lower is it easyer to play like that ect

Hey everyone,
I actually have an ahmed abdul halim oud too. The action is overly good that it has to raised. But I don't know anything about building ouds and the
entire fingerboard is crooked compared with the bowl.
I hope you guys understood what I said. I don't really know if this matters but I also tune the oud to a turkish tuning of second string being A.

WARNING! The neck is probably crooked because you tune it to turkish tuning. Arabic ouds shouldnt be tuned to turkish. cuz it puts too much tension. a
Turkish oud can be tuned to Arabic.
Sammy, Send me the dimensions of the top part of your oud. like with, lenght and hight of the gap where the nut fits. And I'll send you one when I get
around to it. Iam making a few of them right now to fit on a khalifeh for a friend.
