does omar bashir ever use his fathers oud in concert or for recording? Is that oud still in good shape, like the action?
either way that is a beautifull sounding oud.
i love the pictures.

Thank you Hamed for your comments.
Omar always uses his oud which you see him play with it on TV or in recording . His oud were speacial made for him in 1975 by Mohammad Fathel.
Walah el sound is beautifull as you said but i found the tension hight (Dos 3ali) and the strings are old ,, as Omar , saad older brother and thire
mom told me that after his death no one played on the oud,, it is kept in his strong case.

thank you oud master, i think this is the best picture ever posted on this forum, i am a big Munir Bashir fan. I think Munir Bashir used this same
oud since 1950s, yes or no?
ps. i think Munir Bashir risha technique is the most advanced of all oud players, i wish more oud enthusiats would try to learn the secrets of this
technique.
thank you

Dear Hamed,
Again, thanx for your comments, Munir Bashir is and will be for ever a legend that will never be repeted. his oud was made in 7/7/57.
I do agree with you about the risha technique, but we have to understand that not any one can understand and value Master Munir Bashir style.

"i think Munir Bashir risha technique is the most advanced of all oud players, i wish more oud enthusiats would try to learn the secrets of this

Did Munir Bashir keep his risha technique a secret on purpose? If so, why?

I would like to explane a point here which i think alots of people have aginst Munir Bashir, which is keeping his technique a secret.
Munir Bashir had an official inheriter for his legend maybe it's not fair to compare father to sun but what ever Munir Bashir discovered or developed
through out his carrier were tansfered to his sun, Munir had a lots of students durring his carrier i never heard some one close to his technique, so
eventially this heretege will to to his sun.
beside his technique which is v /\ up and down is a technical technique tought in all muisc institutes inTurkia, but Munir took that technique and
added his own Arabian or let me say middle east style together.
I vever heard about other fomous oud palyers sons ? for example salman shukor or Jameel Bashir or Ali Al-Emam or rowhi Al-Khamash or Nasir Shama or
the other famous oud players from the middle east school (Sharqeyah) for example Al-Sunba6i or Alqasabji or Fared GHoson Or Fared Al-Atrash and the
rest. or the Turkish School for example Sharef Turgan or Yorgo or udi hrant and the rest of famous oud players.
My opinion, to understand Munir Bashir style you need to be cultured lesten alot to his playing and off course practise all the time on v /\
style.
