please take a look at my ud

Hello i am a novice ud player. My brother gave me one because of my interest in them. It was purchased in baghdad, iraq in 2004. The only thing I know about my ud is it was made in Baghdad by Najah? It is written in the rossette on the soundhole. Ive been told it says Najah al-baghdadi on the top and Baghdad, Iraq on the bottom. Has anyone heard of this maker, know anything about him. Does anyone have anything in general to say about my ud. I am very curious. On the inside is a label with arabic writting and a black and white picture of the maker that you can see in one of the pictures. Also written in pen on the label is either 1998 or 1999 and in the upper left handed corner in pen is written a word in arabic and then a letter-#. can anyone tell me anything about this ud? what kind of wood it looks like? It looks as if it had been played alot previously, the ud has several cracks and chips that look as if they were filled with putty, this is also around the neck at the point where it meets the body and head. I am really interested in any info. Thanks friends:airguitar:sorry about the horrible pics
