Najarian soft case

Hello Jameel
I have a soft case made of Najarian.
The case of Najarian is almost near a soft case rather than Semi-hard case.
I'm sorry because the condition of my camera is bad now, I do not think that you see the image easily.

I will explain a picture and this semi-hard case again in a few
days.
I will have the inside of the case adjust the size of the picture, and looked clearer.

Hi,
I have two of these cases. They are pretty good, relatively light. Not super protective against heavy force put on the top (lid) or rain, but enough
for most typical daily use. I traded in my hard case for these b/c lugging the heavy case around a city/subways was killing me. No problems so far,
and I've bumped it into plenty of walls and doors while the oud is inside.
Probably the best oud cases would be lightweight hardcases with inner compartments and with two straps to carry on your back like a backpack. Yiannis
Seremetis makes cases like this, and I've seen at least two like this from Turkey. The cases that the Iranian maker Arafati has made for his ouds
seem very light but sturdy, though they don't have straps.
These cases by Najarian are protective against bumps and stuff, much more so than any gig bag b/c of the plastic sheets under the fabric, and they
have plenty of good padding inside. But any weight/force you put on the top of the case is put directly onto the oud, since the edges are zippers,
not a hard material. That's the trade off. For my purposes though, these have worked well.
Take care,
mavrothis

I like this case . . . the only problem is that Viken just told me that the company that was making them went out of business!
He said he's looking for another source; maybe at the NAMM show.
I just saw a guy using a heavily padded guitar gig bag for his oud; it seemed to work really well (It looked to me like it was made for oud; I was
really surprised that it was a guitar case)

Thanks tsugumia, nice pics. I've seen this case. It basically looks like a hard case shape, but soft.
Brian, Issa uses a soft guitar case for his oud. I bought one too, but it's not as nice as his, a little too rigid (it's a more boxy shape), and too
large (maybe for a dreadnought). I recently found out from him that it's a case for a 3/4 size (36") guitar. These may be a bid harder to find, but
would explain why his oud (Sukar) fit in so nicely.
