A Sheet music sharing thread.

I think sharing sheet music is the best thing that we can do for each other; to aid in our studies of the oud. But are we allowed to post copyrighted scores? If not, then we should share privately via email or post public domain scores. I will definitely contribute. What do you think?

Rather than actually posting each one piece by piece, I'll just give you these links that I'm sure will help.

http://zeryab.com/E/Notes_Sheets.htm (Note, if you can't read arabic, just put your cursor above the name on the right side and it will tell you the name in english on your status bar below)

http://www.arabicmusicalscores.com/freesheetmusic.html (this is found on Wassim's site)

http://www.geocities.com/arabclassicalmusic/sheet_instrumental.html

http://www.geocities.com/arabclassicalmusic/sheet_vocal.html

I take no credit in any of these. I am simply posting what's already available on the internet. I am a search engine. :D

Hope that's good.

Hi

Does anyone know where I can find the sheet music for 'Nihavend Longa' and 'Rast Longa' by Yorgo Bacanos?

Best wishes

David

Not sure, but this may be the Nahawand Longa. Post again to tell me if it is, please.

I'm sure more people have more notes than what I've just put up... Bring it on, people! Türk Mûsikîsi Eserleri has a program on their site, like Mav mentioned, but heck if I know how to use it. Help! :D I know people out there want to learn, and I think we can all learn much quicker if we help each other out... either by bringing sound clips or actual notes. Let's get this thing started again!

hi guys. i can't read turkish either. all you do is register using the yellow box on the left of the home page. click on the bottom most button in the box, and you'll go to the registration page.

i just played around until it worked. let me know if you need more detail to use it.

also, i've downloaded lots and lots of stuff already to my pc, if you have specific requests let me know.

take care,

mav
