source for purfling

Jonathan - 10-20-2005 at 05:59 PM

Anybody happen to know of a source for purfling strips? I am on my way to making my first oud. If all goes well, and I continue at this rate, it should be completed in about 12 years. But, is there a source for ready cut purfling? I want to put it between the ribs, and of course on the face. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Dincer,

Nice company. I'm having trouble accessing the catalog pages on this site. Do you have to have a password? I don't see a login page.

Thank you all. I ended up buying some simple ebony purfling strips. I would have liked the multiple layers/sandwiched purfling, but I wanted to stay with wood, and not some synthetic material, and, in the end, I think that the wood that I am going to use for the ribs is busy enought that perhaps it would be for the best just to stick with the ebony.
Thank you all.
