It's going great. My mother has fell in love with the sound of the oud. I am planning on making some compositions using traditional Appalachian

Jason, that sounds like an awsome idea. You ought to post some of that when possible. I would love to hear it.
When I first got an oud about 8 years ago, I tried to do blues stuff on it--BB King, TBone Walker, that kind of stuff. I still love doing American
standards on the oud--Over the Rainbow, Stardust, whatever. I think the oud can sound just awesome when it is used to perform material not typically
associated with it.
