I bought this electric oud less than one month ago. Unfortunately, recent oud purchases (you don't want to know) are forcing me to sell two ouds.
I guess I will start with this, the electric.
I have played this for less than 5 hours! I bought it directly off of Viken less than one month ago.
I paid $1800, and will sell it for $1475, and pay shipping anywhere in the US.Jonathan - 12-9-2005 at 09:08 AM

This comes with a really nice soft gig bag (it's nicer than you're thinking).
The oud is perfect, but I just noticed that there is a very small, superficial scratch on the face. I took several pictures in varying light so you
could see it, and it turned out most in this one.
You can see it by the edge. It is not that line by the small rosette--that is a clear plastic that Viken applies near the mizraplek just to add a bit
more protection to his ouds.Jonathan - 12-9-2005 at 09:29 AM
It is not that lightish area above the rosette--that is just from the camera..Hosam - 12-9-2005 at 11:07 AM

I'll try to get more pictures up this weekend. I think the above two shots show pretty much everything except for the back, which I will put up in
the next day or two. Otherwise, if you want any particular images, just let me know.
I am not sure if a sound file would help, because the sound is just going to depend on the amplifier even more than on the oud. And my amp is not
that great. If I get around to it, though, I will do it. I'll try my best.Jonathan - 1-13-2006 at 06:36 AM
I have lowered the rice to $1375. If anybody is interested, let me know.SamirCanada - 1-13-2006 at 11:10 AM
Jonathan this is a beutifull peice your selling. It diserves a good home.
I wish I could right now...Only I feel bad passing such a good deal.
Can you also inform if it has turkish or arabic scale?Jonathan - 1-13-2006 at 11:49 AM
Thanks. It has a Turkish scale.
It is a very, very nice oud. I just have no use for it and, in the end, I guess I am a bit more of a traditionalist.Jason - 1-23-2006 at 05:31 PM
These are very very good sounding ouds. At NAMM I watched Viken play one of them w/ a group and I was very impressed with it's sound. I wish I could
afford it right now!Jonathan - 1-23-2006 at 08:51 PM
Thanks, Jason. I put it on ebay. We will see what happens. If it doesn't sell on ebay, I guess I was meant to keep it.fenwick - 5-31-2006 at 07:10 PM
Hi Jonathan,
I am interested in yoour oud if you can ship to europe..... email me asap
regards
fenwickJonathan - 5-31-2006 at 08:31 PM
I just sent you an email.
ThanksJonathan - 6-1-2006 at 09:03 AM
Sorry, Fenwick. I checked out Federal Express, UPS, DHL, and the United States Post Office. In order for me to package the oud like it should be
packaged, and insure it for the proper amount, the postage runs into the hundreds of dollars. It is just not worth it. I wish you luck.
So, if anybody else is interested in the oud, just let me know. I had almost forgotten about it. It is a great oud, I just have no use for it. I
have not played it at all in the past several months.Jonathan - 6-2-2006 at 06:17 PM
