Hey everybody,
Check out this oud. It is a 1941 Georges Nahat Oud. The owner is Adel Salameh, and he was recently looking to sell this instrument, but decided
against it. Can you blame him!?
Take care,
Mike

Nice oud, Mike. The green pickguard is a bit curious, looks like it might have been added. I would love to have an nice old oud.
Check out this Nahat. Recently obtained by Al Bardezbanian. The detail of the inlay on the back and especially the shams is unbeleivable. Look
especially at how fine the arabic script is cut, and the birds in the smaller oyoun. I want it so bad it hurts

now, this is what i m calling "a good looking oud". thanks mike for those pictures.
if it is me, i will not even think about selling that oud, even if it sounds bad, i will keep just for its llok.
this my fav type of ouds, simple and beuatiful.
Mike, is there any audio files of that oud, i m sure it sounds good (i hope i m not wrong), and it is a 1941 oud. it is rare to see an oud that old in
such great condition.
also the oud u posted Jameel looks good (but for some reason, i dont like the back of that oud, mybe the color of the wood, mybe)

Hi Jaber,
The sound of this Georges Hana Nahat oud is idenentical to Farid Al Atrash oud, it is not a surprise to me because both of these ouds are made by the
same maker.
And for this I wanted to keep it.

There's another oud by Georges here :http://servsim.cite-musique.fr/museedelamusique/photo.asp Just write oud in the searchbar and press valider. I believe also that Hamza El Dins oud
is also made by Georges.
