Just some more info on Alla... There's another album available(???) in France called "Alla et son Luth Errant : Zahra". I've read that the man was now
living in Paris and stopped recording & playing on stage but I just found out that he is playing at "the cafe de la danse - Paris" on 22/04/06.

I was in Paris last week and saw the flyer for Alla's concert (but I was out of Paris on the day of the concert). His Oud is very interesting with two
smal sound holes on either side of the extended finger board. (picture hopefully attached) I was hoping that anyone who has seen him could comment on
the sound of his instrument as it seems somewhat unique in its construction...
Has anyone seen "A Chronicle of a Disappearance" By Palestinian Film director Elie Suleiman? one of Alla's songs is incorporated in to the film in
the most beautiful fashion. Suleiman is a brilliant director.
