Hi All

I just received my copy of Joe's new CD "Visions" in the post. This is a CD for true oud aficionados, with some incredibly beautiful playing. It is also a great showcase for Joe's talented younger brother James on req. I seriously recommend getting a copy as soon as you can, as it is labelled as a "Limited Edition" and not sure how many were produced.

The online ordering process with Birdland Records was very smooth, and the CD arrived in around a week from Australia to the UK.

I'd definitely rate Joe as one of the world's best oud players in the Arab tradition, right up there with Simon Shaheen and Adel Salameh. (Sorry if I made your head too big there, Joe, but credit where credit's due! )

Yes... just got my copy the other day!

Fantastic stuff here – the two brothers play with a kind of psychic connection that's clairvoyant! Each is able to anticipate what the other is going to do and they synchronize so precisely its just amazing. All tarab all the time! Get solo work as well – each of them gets to shine ... James solo work is fantastic... makes me want to learn to play the Req.

Can't wait for the next one!
