Hello,
My name is David Berger. I am the cantorial intern at Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, NYC's GLBT synagogue. We are having a "Moroccan Shabbat"
service this friday night and are desperately looking for an 'Oud player to accompany this service. We have about $200 available to pay for this
job.
The service begins at 7:00 on Friday April 7th at the episcopal church on 28th St and 9th Ave.
We would need you to be there at 5:00 or earlier to rehearse.
If you are interested, please contact me at davidyaakov@yahoo.com
Thank you,
David Berger

Thanks so much to everyone. We found an ud player for our service.
Anyone who loves Moroccan music and just wants to come to a great service with some great music should just come and enjoy!

Hi David,
If you ever find yourself in Berkeley, CA, on the second Friday night of the month, please drop in on the Kabbalat Shabbat service of the Shir
HaShirim Minyan: http://www.shirhashirim.net/
I am the oud player/accompanist at Shir HaShirim EVERY 2nd Friday. Our service includes a mix of Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi song and nusach.
Shir HaShirim is a Renewal-oriented community, and it GLBT-friendly.
Chag Pesach Sameach,
John
