talal maddah is one of the most famous singers in the arab world. he is this type of signers that when u hear him u have to listen to him, becuse his
voice goes to the heart direct. and he also one of the best composer.
but what not many people know that he also one ofthe best oud players, he is extremly talnted on oud that he can make many pro oud players feel
ashamed of themsleves.
here is a small taqaseem of talal playing oud.
enjoy.
(P.S. thanks mike for helping me recording this file)

It goes without question that he's a great oud player. In my opinion, he's in the same school as Abadi, as you can see the admiration of
Farid in his taqsim. If anyone disagrees, please post. This is just my opinion
. Hat's off to Mr. Maddah. I hope you have more taqsims for him, because I'd like to hear more!

well, there is a small story.
when abadi was 14, he was taken to talal to listen to him, and they guy who took abadi (his name is lotfi zaini), told talal that abadi is a new
talnted kid that he will be a star in the future if got the chance, and he refred to abadi as the "kid who was born with the oud", and when
abadi played for talal, the first question talal asked abadi when he finished playing oud is " when u learned all of this ??"
and from tha day, the relation between the two become very strong, it was more than a relation between to singers or muscian, it was like two
brothers. also talal is who gave abadi the nikname "octopus of the oud".
another thing, do u know that talal had one of Farid's oud, actully farid himself gave it to tala (and if iam not wrong, it is that famous big
oud that farid used to play on his concerts)
and regarding the admiration of Farid in the taqsim, i think any great oud played will have admiration of Farid in his taqsim

I'm not sure if you're referring to the same Farido oud, elrabee3, but the most famous one he used is the one at the top left hand side of
this page. This oud is still in the ownership of Farid's brother/nephew. I don't doubt that he gave him an oud, though. Farido must've
had hundreds! And what a great sign of love from one oudist to another, to give someone their own oud. Amazing! Talal does a great job with it, of
course. And Abadi certainly absorbed what Talal must've told him, because he's great too.
Bring on more clips!

TP21, no , i m not talking about that famous oud, but about that big oud that farido used to use, also i m not sure if he gave talal that oud, but i
heard that he gave that oud.
so, what i m sure about that Farido gave talal one of his ouds (according to talal himself "RIP" ) , but some rumors saying that the oud is
that big oud of Farido.

Hi elrabee3,
These are great. Haven't had a chance to listen to them all yet, but he was a great oud player. Here's t1 and t2 connected. I tried to make
the recordings a little cleaner. Thanks a lot for sharing. You are the best!
