Vince Millett is a member of these forums and has a Glissentar. I don't think he uses it to play traditional music though.

When wearing my other musical hat, I use a Godin Multiac nylon string guitar and the sound is awesome. But the multiac series use a separate RMC pickup under each string and the Glissentat uses a single ribbon transducer (LR Baggs).

From all reports the Glissentar sounds good, but is not really suitable as an oud substitute because of the much longer scale length.

Regards,

Greg

The french electric jazz guitarrist Nguyen Lee, plays a fretlees one, may be a glissentar, i do not know....in any case he is really a great player and has created wonderful "electro-maghreb-fusion" with Karim Ziad? the algerian percussionist and singer.
