Hi guys, this is my Lebanese oud. As far as I know, the maker's name should be George Baytar, and it's been bought in Beirut (I bought it second
handed in Rome). Does anybody know this maker? Is there any special tuning for Lebanese ouds? I'm attaching a few pictures, many thanks, Giuseppe.

Meanwhile americans wake up, i can read
George Mikhail Baitar
Ouds (plural) fabrication
Kind of wood : ebony
Fabrication date : 13 march 1999 (However if anybody can confirm)
I do not understand the last line, i think under the photo there is like a phone nbr. The third word is Lubnan, so is may be the adress.
If anybody can correct and confirm.....
Well i think there is no particular lebanese tuning.
The oud seems slim, long in leghth of the bowl. May be it is made to suit a man with long arms...

the last line is:
Ras Baalbak - Lubnan(lebanon) Beirut-Tel 88718.
And Fabrication date is 15/3/1999
This is the Mr.Nazih Ghadbans city.
