The pegs doesn't seem of ebony and the bowl doesn't look like mahogany.
Apart from this, it’s quite correct for that price.

personaly i always belived in that even if you are begginner you should learn to play with a nice oud so your ears gets used to hearing a better sound and i belive that raises your playing abbilty ofcourse that s once oppinnion and secondly i have to agree with jazzchiss pegs are not ebony and for that price it s an allright oud but would i buy it for myself and advice someone to buying it it s a definnet NOOO for me

You's be better of spending a little more to get a good student oud from Turkey, where they pay some attention to the quality related to tuning and playing of a musical instrument. These ebay ouds are very low quality, mostly unplayable and cost more to fix than they are worth. Most are mass produced in Pakistan for the tourist rade and are only good for hanging on the wall, not playing music. Trying to learn on a piece of furniture that won't stay in tune and sounds like a crate with strings can be very discouraging. Haluk sells a goodoud for about the same price that is a musical instrument.
