A friend of mine want´s to buy a good sarod.
Anybody knows where he can buy a sarod?

There is a shop in Southall on the outskirts of London that apparently sells good sarods. They are called Bina Music and used to have a website, but
can't seem to find it now. (Try the Yell.com website for their contact details.)
The Ali Akbar Khan College of Music in the US also sells sarods online at http://www.aacm.org/, and I should imagine they would be a very reliable source.
You could always try buying direct from India, but having experienced Indian music stores and sales techniques first hand, I would definitely
recommend letting someone else handle this for you!

I agree with David, that buying direct from India can be a minefield. But I have purchased instruments direct and protected myself (to some degree) by
using an escrow agent.
