I first heard this song on Shaheen's Turath album. It's one of my favorite tunes.

For those of you who are interested, there is a transcription of this specific performance along wih an analysis of the piece in an article that was
published by Ali Jihad Racy in 1988.

I got that from Zaman Al Wasal Forum. If your'e not an Arabic reader it's kind of hit and miss, but you can stumble on some nice music.

It's in Racy's article "Sound and Society: The Takht Music of Early-Twentieth Century Cairo," Selected Reports in Ethnomusicology, vol. 7 (1988), pp.
139-170. The article looks at the ways in which the takht ensemble's style of performance allowed for an interplay of individual creativity with group
cooperation. It uses the Tahmila Rast Suznak as performed by Shawwa and Qasabji as an illustration, giving both the notation of the piece (transposed)
and an analysis of the performance.
