Dear Zulkarnain
I have two different recordings of the Longa Farahfaza by Riad al-Sunbati. One is on the album 'Turath' by Simon Shaheen. The other is on
the album 'Oriental Art Music (Mashreq Classics)' by the Ziryab Trio.
Best wishes
David

I'll try and upload the first MP3 file here...
Sorry!

Hi Zulkarnain
I just read Mike's FAQ, and the maximum file size for an attachment is 500Kb. Unfortunately the MP3s are 2-3Mb each, so I will not be able to
post them here.
I have tried emailing them to you as well, but the email keeps getting returned. Do you have any more ideas about how I can get the files to you (I am
not on MSN by the way)?
Best wishes
David

Hi David
I apreciate all your effort regarding sending the files to me and everybody here-well as frustrated as you are its the same thing here with me coz I
only use hotmail (which is very limited of space) and its too bad that you are not on MSN.
Anyway thanks again for your effort of helping us out here (if you do decide to use MSN please dont forget to include me on your MSN list ok buddy!)
Thanks!
I had an idea!

Hi
I live in the south-west of the UK, which is about 200 miles from London. I seem to remember you spent some time in the UK, and studied with Ahmed
Mukhtar - is that right?
Best wishes

Hi
Yes-i got back here in Malaysia early 2002 after spending 5 years of good time there in London. I did took out some private Oud lessons with Mr
Mukhtar for 2 years.
Wish to know you early (specially during that time while im the UK). Judging from your website i might have a chance to learn alot from you!
Are you going to record any of Mr Chalabi performances in London? Maybe a file or two of his live performance would great in here!
Regards

Just to let you all know, the Longa Riad has become somewhat of an instant favorite with me. David, i gotta thank you for that clip of Simon Shaheen
you posted playing it. The ziryab trio plays it really fast, and so it's easy to lose some of the details when I'm trying to learn it. After
I heard Simon Shaheen do it, it was only a matter of minutes. Thanks bro!
