beginners having trouble choosing

First off, I want to say that we have an immense ammount of influence on (it seems) most begining oudlets...
They constantly hit the forums up for advice on where to get an oud and usually post links to these goofy web sites that sell ouds-

So Im proposing... Maybe it would be dope, Mike, if you set up a "where to start page" where members can post suggestions and be voted on by other members (so as to not let it become an advertisement for those silly ebay dealers ("morrocan prof. oud <made by the greatest maker in the world>") BS... you know?

It could have a section on Beginner, Arabic Prof., Turkish Prof., Armenian Prof., Greek and so on...

you know something that gives a blurb about each of the makers we are all so fond of (with links to thier sites)... in a way it serves two purposes- gives homage and saves the forums from repetitious answers about mid-east and "world vibration" stuff like that.... just a suggestion- what do yall think?
