This is an oud I made a few years ago. The only part that I did NOT make is the bowl. (The bowl is built quite nicely) The rest is 100% original. I
originally built this oud for my nephew, but he soon lost interest (he's more into Legos and Dinosaurs--hard to compete with that!). The scale of this
oud is 51.5cm, and it's perfect for a young person. It's got 5 courses and is tuned FAdgc, but this oud could literally be tuned to anything you want,
given the right strings and tuning it down a few steps. (I keep it tuned down a few steps so its easier for kids to play.) It has a higher twangier
sound than a regular oud, but it's loud and is very easy to play. If you have a "young'n" who's itchin' to play, I don't think you could find a better
kid's oud anywhere (I built this oud to the same level as any of my other instruments). Spruce face, ebony pegs, mahogany and maple bowl, wenge
binding, bone nut. $795. Free shipping in the USA or Canada.

Boy, I haven't played this oud for maybe a year or two. What a change! I almost wish I hadn't posted this This oud is sounding great for its size. Here's a link for a video and an mp3. I hope this goes to a good home where a
young person could make good use of it. It's been sitting unplayed for 2+ years in my office.

I should add, please forgive my out-of-tune playing! It's not easy to switch to such a short scale!
