Greetings- I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good 'how to play oud' methods/instructional
books, etc.? I play guitar, so have some familiarity with many string basics which can be applied to the oud. I am looking for a book/method that has
the scales and patterns and some songs used in Arabic/Turkish music, in notation and/or oud tablature (is there oud tablature?) that will really get
me off in the right direction. While I am here does anyone know of any oud teachers in the London / Cambridge, England area? Thanks!

Hello Matthew and Leon,
There is a beginner methode book in English for learners published by Mrs.Kathy Iler, oud teacher in US.
I have ordered 30 copies for to send my Japanese wholesaler customer 20 copies. After I send to Japan,I will have 10 copies from that book.
The book is about 50 pages in color with a spiral binding, so it lays flat on a music stand.
If you interest and want to order, please send e-mail to my <sazmaker@yahoo.com> address.
With best wishes.
