Hi oud folks!
I' m going to Istanbul this weekend, and I'd like to have suggestions on where to find good ouds. I'm planning to buy a turkish oud and maybe a saz,
and I'm wondering about where to buy and the prices in Turkey. I know there's many turkish people here...any suggestion at all?
Bye bye, Peppeo.

Well if your spending good money, go to a maker like Faruk or Ramazan Usta, for a top quality concert instrument. There are some makers like Cankaya,
who hand make there instruments, but are cheaper. These guys are great, they have a shop in Tunel in Galip Dede street, and one shop in Unkapani on
Ataturk Bulvari, a couple of shops down from Cumbus Muzik.
Saz wise, if you go to Galip Dede in Tunel, or Beyoglu whichever it is, there are two good saz makers there I can reccomend. Baris Muzik and Tekinler
Saz Evi, both hand make their sazes and they are really great quality.
