I came across this old book while browsing ebay. It looks like it shows different instruments and possibly tools for making them. Pretty interesting

I think this book is a real treasure and should be purchased by a public library or a university library.
Anyhow did you notice again the straight pegbox of the oud diagram?
In the thread where are the old ouds, al Halabi posted another diagram of french Villoteau with straight pegbox

This is the original 1904 edition of al-Khula'i book "Kitab al-musiqa al-sharqi." It contains a lot of information on Arab music and music culture,
much of it borrowed from medieval sources. The book has been reprinted recently (in 1993 and 2000) so it's available again.
