Hello everyone, Salam!
Well, I've fallen for the Oud and hope to stay committed to learning how to play. But for now, I dont even have a Oud haha..
I have been looking for weeks and spent countless hours searching the net and local areas and no luck. I'm not looking to spend much on a Oud I want
to learn on but I found a couple on this site.
This one..

This package

And This one
http://www.larkinam.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_OUD001_A_Turkish+Oud_E_
Now I guess you can see what my price range is... not very high
What do you all think? I appreciate any advice and help!
Thank you and Wasalam!

I had a bad exp. with Lark in the Morning, and poor customer service. I bought a $450 oud from there and it had neck problems( buzzing, bad
intonation). They were slow to give return authorization, blamed me for the problem, and were slow to finally refund my money.
I ended up buying an oud from mideast.com It was a cosmetic blemish and I got it with shipping for under $200 After putting new strings on it, it
easily sounds as good as the one from Lark and is actually very playable. Good enough to study on untill I can buy a Professional quality
instrument. Mideast was fast in shipping, they even told me exactly what the blemish was on my oud. It is a small stain on the wood, barely
noticable.

Dont take a chance... Use the forrum to guide you. Thats what its for.
I hate to see people buy scrap ouds that end up on there wall. They look good in the pictures but when you open the box... its almost always
dissapointement.
check this one, i think its good and cheap

Lark in the Morning seems like a pretty decent shop. I purchased a Dombak through their website. Last summer when I was in San Francisco last summer,
I was on my way to get Tickets for a certain event, only to stumble on the actual Lark in The Morning shop! It was packed with different types of
instruments. The man that worked there got me a oud from the wall, I tuned it and played it in the shop. It was a pretty good oud. I'm sure someone
from the members here is in San Fran and might help you out by actually going there and taking look at the ouds. just a thought.

a friend of mine had this oud, I suggest you don't buy it, the sound was dreadful the strings were way too high, and it was very poorly made...
