Hi Roland
I don't think the CD 'Ishraq' is available to buy anywhere, although it really is excellent. However, I have a copy and I have
transferred all the tracks to MP3 files. I'm not sure of the best way to get them to you - any ideas?
For some reason, Naseer Shamma chooses ridiculously obscure labels when releasing his CDs (I have not managed to find his third CD 'The Moon
Fades' anywhere) By the way, have you heard his latest CD called 'Maqamat Ziryab'? Again, it is almost impossible to find, but you can
currently buy it from http://www.discoweb.com - get it while you can!
Best wishes
David

Hello there,
I am new here, found this website by instance (a very lucky one
)
I have just emailed mr.Parfitt about the same topic you are discussing here. I am looking for Ishraq but I was lucky enough to get Raheel Al Qamar
(Moon Fades). I have a domain on which I will upload Raheel Al Qamar for you all
I just hope mr.Parfitt will be kind enough to share Ishraq with us
Thanks,
Mohannad

Hi All
I have uploaded the first four tracks from the album "Ishraq" on the following site as MP3 files:
http://www.btinternet.com/~dgwparfitt/
I will remove them in a couple of days and then upload the last three tracks.

Guys, I fell in love Shamma's playing. If you guys can provide more, that would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone wants to do some trade for some Shamma tracks, I'll be up for it.

Hi everyone
Just to let you know that I only finished uploading all seven "Ishraq" MP3 files to Hanood's site a few days ago, so make sure you did
not miss any of them!
David
P.S. I will not upload the last three tracks to my own website now, as they are all available on Hanood's site.
Thank you so much Hanood and David

Baghdad Lute is available on Amazon and many other websites, so you can pick and choose!
Maqamat Zeryab is not widely available like Baghdad Lute, you can probably get it off http://www.discoweb.com or search on http://www.gemm.com.
I have seen Raheel Al Qammar on some arabic websites, apparently it was released only in the middle east, but I don't have any links off the top
of my head now.
Ishraq is a discontinued CD, ie you pretty much have no hope finding it unless you get a used copy off ebay or something!
I hope this helps!
