Old pegs

What are the pegs on old Turkish ouds generally made of? Is that rosewood that has been dyed black?
How about the bridges of Manols, Karibyans, and other old Turkish ouds? Is that dyed walnut?
Thanks!

As I heard from Cengiz Sarikus Manol and the others used bridges mostly made of hornbeam. Ebony bridges squeeze the sound. I also think so.

Thanks a lot! I should have responded sooner.
How about the pegs? Does anybody know what Manol and others of that era used?
Is there another name for hornbeam?
