I remember on the news seeing a very, very small segment about a small concert going on in France (probably Paris).
It was described as a sort of "Jazz-influenced" performace with three players; an oud player, a pianist and an accordianist.
Does anybody know about this? I'd like to see it.

Hi TCD,
They were probably talking about Tunisian oudist Anouar Brahem: http://www.anouarbrahem.com/
He has done jazz-influenced oud playing and performs fairly regularly in France.
A less likely possibility is Lebanese oudist Rabih Abou-Khalil: http://www.enjarecords.com/bio.php?artist=Rabih%20Abou-Khalil (He has also done jazz-oriented recordings, but usually with more typical jazz
instrumentation).
Good luck!
Best,
Udi John
