Guys,
This is the music score of Qassabji's Zikrayat, i thought i'd share it with you. It is really nice and challenging for oud players. I have a very rare
recording for this piece as overture to his eternally miraculous song "Rak ElHabib" sung by Oum Kolsoum in King Farook of Egypt's palace Abdeen.
Play it and enjoy it.amtaha - 6-14-2007 at 12:24 AM
ArabicMusicalScores.com (on the watermark) seems like a commercial wesbite.
I'm a bit confused - would the website hold the IP for the transcription?, or copying it off books sold in Cairo, etc.?
This is odd.damascene_oud - 6-14-2007 at 12:43 AM
In that website you can check their "Free Music Sheet" they have some links that it seems you can use them.MatthewW - 6-14-2007 at 12:53 AM
thanks damascene_oud for the sheet music. would you know if there are any mp3s or online video clips of this song so those of us who haven't heard it
can have a listen to how it ought be played?maran - 6-14-2007 at 05:00 PM
it's very beautifully done on this album by the ziryab trio (taiseer elias, nassim dakwar, zohar fresco). this is a cd definitely worth having.
I have the original recording dating back to 1940 played by Mohammed Qassabji and Oum Kolsoum's Band in king Farook's palace. I will copy that on a CD
and post it so soon.Jack_Campin - 8-7-2019 at 02:06 PM

Many of the previously posted attachments were "blown out" at one point, a couple years ago. This site has strict file size limits. I (think) I
found your Facebook page, and I messaged you the 3 versions I have.
