Nice going there buddy. But the intro belongs rather to "Hayyart Albi Ma3ak", not "Aweidt Ainy".... Still Om Kalthoum though (and same Maqam-Kord !). You went back to Awedt Aini later on though
Nice oud sound and lovely playing too.SamirCanada - 7-30-2007 at 10:54 AM

Happens all the time Samir. I used to mix up a lot between "Atlal" and "Serit El-Hobb", particularly at the intro !! SamirCanada - 7-30-2007 at 11:11 AM
Here is another one I found on my pc.
what do you guys think of this Taqasim Rast.
SamirCanada- really nice playing! is there sheet music available for those Oum Kalthoum numbers you played? I also enjoyed this clip of you- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhBXyCIsZ0A&mode=related&sea...
That 7 string oud you are using by master Maurice with the floating bridge, which tunings have you tried, and which tuning do you prefer? It looks
and sounds wonderful! I'm also curious to the width of the fingerboard at the nut in mm on this 7 string oud. thanks my friend SamirCanada - 8-1-2007 at 11:48 AM
I dont know much about sheet music. I play by ear sorry.
Its not my oud actualy I have only played it that day.
I had it tuned from base to trebble C FF AA dd gg cc ff'
width of the fingerboard wasnt much wider then a 6 course. the courses are actualy quite close togheter which I prefer since its easyer to play but it
can be tricky at first. you just have to be more precise but it makes you save energy.
your welcome budday
