Just noticed there are now a bunch of Bezmara videos on YouTube (including one with a sehrud, which I asked about a while back).

I´m interested about how Bezmara has been welcomed in Turkey? "Historically informed performance practice" has been a major phenomenon in Western
classical music for many decades, but is Bezmara the first band to use same concept in Turkish classical music?
I have two Bezmara CDs and have found the music quite interesting. To my Western ears, their music does sound "old style" and brings to my mind
Western renaissance music. I do not know enough of Turkish music to understand the finer points about "modern" vs "historically informed" performance
style.
