Yes, Tarik, I wish you were welcome too. I wish I was welcome in Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the all the 21 Arab countries, many of
which won't let me in at all as an Israeli. The world is screwed up. Maybe one day it will be better

One of the festival purpeses is to close the gap between us. this argument wont lead u to the solution-it will only add hate.
Pls stop it.

Is anybody going to the Tribute to Muhammad Abd al-Wahab?
Ibrahim Azzam is great, it will prob be a really nice concert.
excentrik - 10-25-2007 at 08:43 PM
hate? who said anything hateful? I'd say the occupation of a peoples entire nation then forcing them to justify their anger is pretty damn hateful...
but what do I know? I'm just target practice for "loving" israeli soldiers...

Ara Dinkjian will be performing there again also - sounds like this will be another great performance with each member of the group from a different
country/background.
Wish I could be there for all of the festival.

Dear Tarik and Shareen, I understand how you both feel, but I think if you or anyone has something strong to say to any member in this forum about
anything political or about the problems in this world perhaps Mikesouds forum isn't the best place? Isn't this forum about our love of ouds, related
instruments and music? No matter what our religion, ethnic group, political views, colour of skin and so on, when any of us enters this forum I think
we need to leave all that aside, and focus on what we all have in common as one large family joined by our love of the oud and music. Perhaps if you
want to discuss politics or specific problems in the world with eachother or any other member in this forum then a U2U, personal email, or even a
phone call to that person might be a better way?

Hey matthew
Your right!! This has nothing to do with ouds, However i lived there and seeing kassam missiles over my head on a daily basis is not a nice seen,
espectally when one exploades a st away from you.( very scarry).
""I'm just target practice for "loving" israeli soldiers..."" All i have to say is, b4 somebody says something uneducated, and one sided , they will
never get anywhere in life.
this is why theres "no peace in the middle east".
thx sammy
p.s As my parents said "there is good and bad in every kind".
"educated and uneducated in every kind"
with that said ,instead of arrguing in this topic we will always have our own veiw good day.
kol tov
