HI all 
This is to ask mainly two things regarding Nassir Shamma's oud and tuning(s).
1)Does his oud have 11 strings? (5 double courses and one bass?
2)It seems to me that he frequently changes the tuning of the two lower strings, sometimes F,C sometimes Bb, C and some other times Eb, Bb?

hello- Nasser has been known to use a 13 string oud, as well as others. The guy could probably make a 2 string oud sound amazing. The retuning of the
lower courses on the oud is not uncommon for oud players either, depends on what thet are playing.

195 views and only two replies?! Seems you guys do not like the oud sound and playing by nassir shamma or mounir bashir... traditional is fine and
necessary, but not enough.
