Hi all- One of my Xmas gifts was a real surprise, the one and only LP by Salman Shukur. A friend of mine who lives in London went into a record shop
that he often visits and which sells lot of old used vinyl LPs and 45s for sale. He saw this LP in the bin, and so bought it for me, not knowing much
about ouds, only that I play one. It turned out to be the one and only LP recorded by the great Iraqi oudist, Salman Shukur in 1977.

Salman, and you can listen to the tracks off this LP!
It's just really cool to have the real thing on vinyl, and I still hav a turntable that works!

Dude..that's totally cool ! I was lucky enough to buy this record brand new at Tower Records in Mountain View, California many years ago. It's very
well recorded. I was in the habit (still am) of buying any album of oud taksims, and then seeing later what it's all about. At the time I had no idea
who Salman was, or what !! Happy new year, and enjoy it !

Nice find Matthew I have it also Salmans oud is a classic one by the legendary
Usta Ali.
