This CD was unavailable for a while, but it has recently been re-released on the King Records label in Japan. It is available from the following
site:
http://www.farsidemusic.com/acatalog/MIDDLE_EAST.html
They also have a lot of other interesting stuff on there from around the world.
Best wishes
David

And you even get to see some nice piece of Mesopotamian ivory art... maybe someone could read the booklet and tell us where does it come from... I
would guess Nimrud, at the of the late Assyrian empire...
Psta are ususally sang between two Iraqi Maqam vocal improvisations... see al Mohhamd Al-Qubbenchi and Yusuf 3Omar...
thanks

Haha....
This reminds me of this radio competition years ago when the DJ posed the question - What is salsa? And all these Arabs were ringing up and saying
that it was some sort of a tomato paste used in cooking sauces!!
Mind you I fell for that too MatthewW when I first saw this cd. It may also be that you've seen a cd out there called Opera and Pasta, becuase I know
that exists, and the pasta they mean is the one u have with your bolognese.
