I am new into the forum. I would like to have your help regarding Azar ouds. how is the wood finishing of his work? anyone have azar's oud would you
please tell about the finishing?

I heard his oud finishing is amongst the very best there is.

actually I am in contact with azar. He offers a really reasonable prices as compared to others, which makes me asking why his prices are lower than
others. So I was questioning myself if it's because of the USD still powerfull in syria or because of bad quality finishing.

Hi Oudism!
I have an Azar oud and a buzok.
His wood work is very very good, they make very playable instruments with very good sound.
Azar is a very honest man and very good person.
I studied guitar and violin maker for 5 years, I can tell you that Azar makes professional ouds
Syrian prices are lower than Lebanon or Egypt prices in all things, food, hotels...

Actually I am willing to order the 8 string. Talking to Samir, he said that the fingerboard is going to be larger than usual. Does this affects the
hand positon on the soundboard?

I have seen zoukboy oud in here. He has an 8 string oud. I guess he's the main person to ask
