Hi,
i m in the houston area (seabrook) and just starting to learn oud.
did you get any luck finding a teacher and would you be interested in getting together sharing some of the little knowledge and try to learn to play
some oud?

At the University of Houston there is actully a teacher in the music department who teaches oud. Likewise my recomendation would be to go to the Texas
renisance festival. there are a few people who play there. I also know a few oud hobbiests at St Marks Coptic Orthadox Church.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I am also looking for a Oud instructor in Houston. Did you find anyone?
