hey everyone,
i havent posted anything for a long time...i was home sick from my job today and looking at the nasty weather up here Maine, USA, and I decided to
record this samai just for fun as it is one of my favorite pieces. its certainly not rhythmically perfect as i recorded the oud first and then the
drum...and compressing it down makes it a bit muddy. anyway i am just beginning to explore the samai in general so here's my first go...let me know
what you all think!
all the best,

Hello Amos. Thank you for this kind gift and bravo for your nice performance. I'm in my samaï time too, and I enjoy your play and your oud very
much...clear,precise, but fluid and sensitive too.Bye DaveH - 2-20-2008 at 09:00 AM
Really nice playing, Amos. I agree, I really like the sema'i form and we don't get enough of them!MatthewW - 2-23-2008 at 02:45 AM
very nice samai playing Amos, and your drumming is good too. I think we all need more days off from work to play more oud!
do you have the musical notation for this samai? regards, mw
