Here is a cd of Bahdad Ensemble with Raed Khoshaba on the website of FNAC France.
Raed was my teacher. I also have a demo cd of oud solo. Not a very high quality recording and no official distribution.

Raed Koshaba has the following web page:

He produced some nice CD's which I got directly from him while visiting him. I'm shure You can get them directly from him too. Send him a contact mail through his website.

By the way, last year I made a "copy" of his instrument, a1986 Mohammed Fadel instrument, that Munir Bashir and all the members of his groop "Al Bayrak" played, and which for instance Ali Hassan is still playing too. You can find some informations about my model on my website and a sound file too:

Bonjour/Hallo Robert,

I will contact FNAC and see it they ship to the USA. The instrumentation of the Baghdad Ensemble CD looks like a Chalgi Baghdadi ensemble (santoor, joza, etc.). I like that style well enough, but at 21.34 EUR/$32.40 without shipping costs, I'd think twice.

I am more interested in the demo taqasim CD. Is it something you would be willing to copy? If so, I would be interested in arranging some kind of music trade.

I have already checked Raed Khoshaba's web page. Unfortunately, the "CD" section says "Under Construction" and has for quite some time (http://www.raedkhoshaba.com/cds.html). :shrug:

I have tried contacting Raed Khoshaba via email before and seem to recall him not being too excited about shipping to the USA, but I'll certainly try again.
