Does anyone has a recording of the Samai Nawathar of Yosef Pasha that is in the first book of the method of Jamil Bashir on page VV (88?).
Here is a copy of the page.

This is a violin and piano version with Sami Shawa on violin.

Sorry to answer you so late Alami.
Thank you for your post.
But... are you sure it is the right samai.
I don't think so...
Or I am a very bad reader.
Well, this one is nice too.
But I don't have the notes.

Hi,
It looks like Alami posted Yusuf Pasha's Peshrev instead of the Saz Semai. Look for it under the name "Nev-eser" - that is how it is pronounced in
Turkish. I found the sheet music on http://www.neyzen.com.
I don't have a recording of this piece, but I'm sure you will find it somewhere.
Take care,
mavrothis

Thanks Mav,
I also find the piece on neyzen.com.
And I realized yesterday evening that "nev-eser" did mean "Nawathar" in Turkish.
Each day i learn something new.
And yes, the recording probably exists somewhere.
But I don't find it.
I'm still searching.
If someone can help...

OOps! sorry for this.
Bashraf or samai, bey or Pasha, nawathar or nev-eser, it seems like I am totally messed up.
Thanks mav for the correction.
So now if I am getting it: you have a recording not matching the sheet you originally have but you end up with having a right new sheet matching the
wrong recording but still we don't have a recording for the first sheet and you'll end up playing the bashraf instead of the semai but both are from
the same youssef who is a Pasha and not a Bey and both are in Nawather and neveser in the same time as ,like you, I am just discovering now that they
are the same......Simple!
WOW the world of oud is fascinating
