Hello,

i have been trying to learn playing oud since the last 5 months but unfortunately i have no time to practice due to my working conditions, though i already brought one. I am sick on focusing on notes i want to learn playing songs directly, i admire this instrument and i dont want to quit playing, please advice.

Thank you.

here the second part

DaveH - 9-3-2008 at 01:12 AM

Wow, spyros, fantastic playing and a beautiful light, clear sound. Congratulations.

DaveH - 9-3-2008 at 01:17 AM

PS, I just saw the silent "practice" ouds on his site.

http://www.theodorakis.name/pop_up/uk/000028.html

It says they come in full size electric version. I remember a few people were asking after electric ouds on the forum recently. These would be like no electric oud you've ever seen - in a nice way - and the way the struts are constructed you would have the full dimensions of the oud belly in your lap. Just an idea.

spyros mesogeia - 9-3-2008 at 01:47 AM

Hello DaveH
Thank you for your kind words.
Tasos is an open minded person, and very straight to deal with.I like them too,but I allready have two electrical ouds:D.
Tasos also did for me a custom luth with metall strings fretless...
Amazing........
I am very proud that in Greece we have some very good luthiers, and Tasos Certainly is one of them.
On my space I have a composition of mine, the ''far away moon'',I play saz, oud[Tasos],viola da gamba fretless, percution and vocals.Take a look and tell me what do you think. The oud has a worm sound,I just love it.
