Hello everyone,
I've heard so much about this young guy (early 20's I think), from musicologists/teachers who teach at the Music Academy in Tunisia. He's Tunisian,
name is Bashir Al-Gharby. I think he truely rocks at both technical and "feel/Tarab" playing of the oud, simply amazing.
He also plays with the Western Orcehstra there, and I believe he's performed several times in France.
Anyway, without any further delay , here is the link:

Hi OP. this young man has a great future with the oud, inshallah. Too bad the sound of this concert recording isn't better, but still his mastery of
the instument comes through. His intensity of playing, technique, skill and passion for the oud reminds me of some of the great Western violin
virtuosos.

Yeah Matthew, I'm sure he'll have a more bright future. The recording was apparently shot from distance by a member of the crowd.
By the way, the title of that piece (well more of taqasim) he played in the clip is "That Evening", and I believe it is one of his own compositions.

Wonderful!
Does anyone know of soundclips without all the added echo?
Also, what kind of oud is he playing?
