I was in Kabul for a week a couple of years ago. I never saw an oud. I have a feeling it (or the barbat) never really made it that far east. Could be
wrong though - I wasn't looking very hard as this was before I took it up. Dotars and tanburs a plenty, but narry an oud to be seen.

Afghanistan is the land of the rebab, among other instruments.

Balabanjo are you in Moscow? Anyhow I will be in Moscow soon and I can always bring a good cheap oud from Sweden. Arabic or Turkish style.

thank you guys for replies, i really appreciate it. Afganistan is the land of
rebab as Russia is the land of balalaika.
Ronny Anderson, i am interested in what you are proposing! Please, send me all information about these instruments if you have time. I live near
Moscow, it takes me 2hours to get to Moscow, So it's not a problem.I am sure we will have a deal. As for Oud itself, i am looking for an arabic one,
for about 450$, as far as i understand it is possible for an amateur to buy a good one for this money. My email:blacktulip@list.ru
will wait for your reply with impatience.
