Hello.
This post to read your opinion(s) about Labella's strings.
I receive yesterday a new oud ( Nahat copy oud seen in this forum on the buy&sell ouds topic ).
The sound of this oud is really fine.
When I got it, Ten strings were on, tuned FF AA DD gg cc.
I add to high ff. Two little strings from a Labella's OU-8O.
I think the diameter is 0'22, like the little strings in the OU-80A also from Labella.
This morning I see the table is really curved , with a little crack and the rim not in contact with the edge of the spruce under the down little
rosette ( when playing ).
So I have a few questions:
Are these strings too strong for this tuning?
Is-it a defect of the instrument?
The tension of the high strings oprate at this place in the table? ( Is this action coming from these strings?)
Can the table get again his right position?
Of course, I removed the two ff as soon as I see that problem.
I thank you for your help guys.

Hi Francis - just a quick, emergency post. If you haven't already done so, loosen all the strings IMMEDIATELY. Others will give you better advice on
what to do next.
